Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Worldwide Device Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website or get in touch, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are the data controller for the information described here.

The information we collect

We only collect what we need:

  • Information you give us. When you submit a form, request the Deadline Survival Kit, or email us, we collect your name, company, email address and anything you choose to put in your message.
  • Information collected automatically. With your consent, analytics and advertising cookies collect usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and referral source. See our cookie policy.

We do not ask for or intentionally collect special category data, and this site is not intended for children.

How we use your information, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss working together. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering you, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • To deliver a resource you asked for (such as the Deadline Survival Kit). Lawful basis: performing your request, and our legitimate interest in following up.
  • To send you marketing updates such as our newsletter. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
  • To measure and improve the site, and to reach relevant audiences through analytics and advertising cookies. Lawful basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under contract:

  • HubSpot — our customer relationship system, which stores enquiries and contacts (hosted in the EU data centre).
  • MailerLite — our email marketing platform, used only where you have opted in.
  • Our website host — to serve the site to you.
  • Google, Meta and LinkedIn — analytics and advertising, only if you accept those cookies.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision or by approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and contact data for as long as we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Where the law requires us to keep records for longer, we do.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
